Llorelia (/phonetics/) or Llora is the capital and largest city of Ibothia. It it located in the Community of Llorelia on the south-east coast of the island of Ibothia in the Sea of Ibothia, Ascesia.

History

Before 1550, the site of Llorelia was little more than a small fishing village and subtropical woodland. Belonging to the Duchy of Llora (Duché de Llora), and known by nothing more than Est Llora, it was just a slow-moving coastal community under the reign of North Ibothia.

However in 1545, after the Ibothian War, the united Ibothia decided to move their capital city to the Ibothian-speaking city of Alticiu, away from the Savamese north and Anzitanian south. This posed many problems, the main one being that access to this inland city was almost impossible.

In 1598, the decision was made by Anselme I to build a new capital to centralize the Principality. Consultations with all the noble families who ruled Ibothia resulted in the decision to construct the new city in the Duchy of Llora, and work began in 1604.

From the very beginning, the city was built to exacting Jakarist standards, following strong beliefs still held today, that harnessing Kairon energy improves Jakar.

On 25th January 1668, Princes Clara made Llorelia the capital of Ibothia, and by 1700, all the administrative buildings had moved there, along with the monarch in the newly built palace.

Over the last 300 years the city has expanded, but new buildings are still monitored strictly by Kairon planning laws unique to Llorelia.
