From 1940 through 1955, the manor and its grounds was a designated as one of locations for a provisional capital in the event of invasion or nuclear warfare, but was later decommissioned in favor of more secure sites.

History

Official Usage

Schultz Manor has the distinction of being an Official Residence of Avandia. As a result, the mansion is occasionally used by the President of Avandia for personal use or special events such as hosting a head of state, galas and dinners. The manor and it's facilities is capable of full use by the president and his staff and is kept in a constant state of readiness. However, most presidents prefer to use the Presidential Manor for obvious reasons, such as convenience, better security and general tradition. But Schultz Manor continues to be one of the most popular retreats used by Avandian Presidents.

Official use of Schultz Manor is not only restricted to President. It can and has been used by people such as the Vice President of Avandia, National Chairman of Avandia, visiting heads of state and other notable figures.

Public Tours

Whenever not in use by the President or other figures, the Manor and gardens are open to the public for guided tours. Tours are around AM3.00 per person. Previously, one was able to roam around the manor grounds for as long as one wanted too, but security concerns have restricted the public's ability to explore the grounds.

With authorization from the Executive Office of Avandia, via a Senator, Councilman or Ambassador/Consulate, one could attempt to reserve an small area of the Manor and its gardens for a private event. Renting out part of the manor is free, but due to high demand and security purposes, obtaining clearance is a difficult process that can take anywhere from 6 months to a year, and not all applications are accepted. The manor can be closed at any moment without notice.
