Time Zones

Standard time zones can be defined by geometrically subdividing Eshraval's spheroid into 24 lunes (wedge-shaped sections), bordered by meridians each 15° of longitude apart. The local time in neighbouring zones is then exactly one hour different. However, political and geographical practicalities can result in irregularly-shaped zones that follow political boundaries or that change their time seasonally (as with daylight saving time), as well as being subject to occasional redefinition as political conditions change.
Time zones are calculated as an offset of Eshraval Mean Time (EMT±00). For example, Old Ascesian Time is seven hours behind, so it is EMT-07. However, Pural Standard Time is eight hours ahead, so it is EMT+08. So when it is 12:00, noon, in Heimat, it is 05:00 in most of Savam and 20:00 in New Serania.
When crossing the International Date Line in EMT±12 one must : if travelling westward add one day to their clock, if travelling eastward subtract one day to their clock.
The 24 Time Zones are, from East to West (ECT (EMT±12) listed twice, as divided by international date line):
